Motion 1 Overview
Interlam is very excited to introduce our latest product line that will give new life to surfaces, create astonishment, visual and tactile curiosity. Motion I will create sensational surfaces that provide a wide variety of panels and components for the Furniture, Kitchen and Bath, Hospitality and Retail Industries. Motion I is characterized by high quality standards achieved through our passion and decades of proven experience.
Motion I is a product produced by applying natural wood or reconstituted Alpi veneers, as well as melamine and paintable melamine surfaces, mostly to MDF substrates. Any veneer of a natural wood species can be used to the customers’ specifications. Through proprietary techniques, surfaces are created in order to obtain many different deep textures.
Our panels are suitable for any use in the furniture industry, kitchen and wardrobe doors, wall paneling, entrance doors, office furniture, shop fitting, bar fitting, hotels and general contracts.
Motion I products are tailored specifically to meet the customer’s requirements and specifications.
The substrates used are certified CARB Phase II compliant. (See pattern page for downloadable certificates for TPC inspections) On special request we can supply Motion I on fire-resistant or waterproof substrates.
The face veneer is 0.6 mm thick and is preferably a reconstituted veneer. We prefer to use Alpi reconstituted veneers, because they are CATAS certified, low formaldehyde and produced only from sustainable, well managed Timber resources with a declaration of FSC Controlled Wood. Our customers can therefore choose veneer from the Alpi catalogue, with matching edgebanding. On request we can use natural veneers of any wood type as well. The glues are exclusively certified, complying with all current regulations, and conform to the national standard safety board. As a note, the Rough Hewn series is only available in 3 natural veneers.
Motion I is available in 1.2mm, 4mm & 19mm thicknesses. Please refer to the PDF on every pattern page titled “A Guide to Specifying Motion I” for more detailed information. As a convenience, a downloadable CSI/AIA specification template is also available on every pattern page.
